About MIST MAKER
Ultrasonic Mist Maker generates a water mist without raising its
temperature. An electronic oscillation is converted to a mechanical
oscillation by using a ceramic disk immersed in a reservoir of water. The
mechanical oscillation is acting directly at the surface of the water, so
that a very fine mist of water droplets will be created at very high
frequencies. This adiabatic process, which does not heat the supply water,
reduces energy use by 90% to 93% compared with systems that boil the
water. The mist contains a large number of negative ions, which helps to
freshen the air. If you pour several drops of aromatic oil into the water,
the air will be as fresh and natural as that of a forest. Mist makers can
be provided in different sizes.
The ceramic disk has a working life of approx. 3000 hours and is
replaceable. Its lifetime also depends on water quality. You should clean
the disk with soft cloth or cotton sticker in clean water when it is
dirty. Don't put your hands above the ceramic disk while it is working,
otherwise the high frequent vibration can hurt your hands. It is not an
electric shock, but mechanical shock. The mist maker will stop working
automatically, when the water is not enough to drown the top of the sensor
switch.
No matter where you
get the ultrasonic unit, the following advice should be followed:
·
Never put your hands or other
body parts near the "business end" of the mister. It can drive water under
your skin, causing damage that feels like a burn.
·
Had better use only distilled
or demonized water. Tap water will leave mineral deposits that may gum up
the unit.
· Never
run the unit "dry". Don’t connect transformer’s plug into in the supply
socket, when mist maker is dry, otherwise, a pulse current may damage the
ceramic disk .Mist maker will work at good case when the distance from
disk to the water surface is about an inch of over it.
Ultrasonic misters
must be covered with water. They can burn out if there isn't enough water.
In order to prevent catastrophic failure when the water level gets low,
our ultrasonic misters include a water level sensor or more water level
sensors that automatically turn off the unit when the water level is low.
Mineral Deposits
If your unit is gummed up by
mineral deposits, you can clean it with distilled water and some white
vinegar.
